I keep looking at this book and have a hard time deciding which quilt to make.I currently made Taylor's board and it came out beautiful.I also have the rail fence started.Directions are easy to follow and very welldone. The descriptions of the color values helped me. I am very interestedin Deanna's second book, but I need more time with her first on before Imove on.

More Strip-Pieced Watercolor Magic: New Designs and Techniques for 30 Watercolor Quilts [Paperback] Review

I got this book after seeing a watercolor quilt and wanting to do one. I read through the book and got the concept and have made six different quilts. I did the one on the front cover but changed the outside border as I didn't like the linear look and used a border off of another quilt in the book. It was my first real sized quilt and it is amazing. I get so many compliments on it. I was a beginner and was able to translate the ideas just that quick. The process is very easy and I made my first top in a week.
I am in love with this book and plan to make more using my own designs now that I know how.

Of the many books currently available on watercolour quilting, Impressionist Palette is, in my opinion, the best.The pictures are absolutely stunning; the quilts exquisite.Apart from being an art book, the instructions on the technique of watercolour quilting are extremely clear and well-written, making it possible for myself, a fearful watercolourist, to attempt and succeed in making a watercolour quilt.
