Product Description:
-Unique and hassle-free approach to creating log cabin quilts
-75 percent of quilts displayed at recent Quilt Market shows were traditional quilt patterns
-Log cabin quilts are among the top five most popular traditional quilt patterns
This quilting book is all about creating beautiful quilt blocks with more creativity. Author Sharon Rotz's clever "freedom block" approach is a skewed log cabin variation that gives quilters leeway to sew log cabin blocks however they choose to.
Freedom blocks are created from straight-grain strips that use various colors and widths, giving quilters license to showcase their individual character in quilts. More than 15 step-by-step projects prompt readers to be free:
-To construct various-size blocks
-To skip matching corner points or cutting blocks at specific angles
-To combine many colors and fabrics into one project
-To use countless fabric combinations
