Treasury of Quilting Patterns [Paperback] Review

Treasury of Quilting Patterns [Paperback]This book contains 128 pages of patterns for quilting. That is, the patterns to stitch the quilt not patterns for blocks. Each motif has several variations, including a pattern to be used on the boarder and around corners.I especially like the art deco floral motifs. There is also a motif called 'bouncing bunnies' which I will use on a baby quilt I'm designing. The pages are easily copied either on a copy machine or with tracing paper and pencil. My daughter can manipulate them on the computer but I'm not that high tech, yet. Many of the motifs could be done in embrodery or made into templates for applique. What a shame this book is out of print!I found a copy in a library but must have one of my very own.If you need instructions on how to quilt this is the wrong book for you. There is some information on hand and machine quilting in the beginning of the book but the real focus in on the patterns. The book also includes a metric equivalent table and an index (can you tell I'm a librarian?).
